Nothing Shakes My Walls Like You

It takes us days to make the time to make the call
And when it comes to it, you find me at a loss
You take my shyness in your stride, 'cause you know
When I have the least to say is when I need you most
And I've been trying to send a message out
My words are failing me now

The things that I have never told a single other living soul
Words that I could never say to anyone but you
When you share your space with me, the silence I can barely breathe
Nothing shakes my walls like you
Nothing shakes my walls like you

You've seen the lengths I've gone to hide myself away
These hand-made fortresses I build to keep me in
And struck by something in the words that you say
I don't know where my feelings end and yours begin
And if you'd never known the fears that I had
I wouldn't be where I am

The things that I have never told a single other living soul
Words that I could never say to anyone but you
When you share your space with me, the silence I can barely breathe
Nothing shakes my walls like you
Nothing shakes my walls like you

And weren't you the one who said, "forget what they told you
Don't let them decide what you're worth"
And maybe that's why it feels better to hold you
Than anyone else on earth

You've seen me at my worst and you've seen me when I'm good
And one by one you've seen the bricks begin to fall
And you don't love me yet and there's no reason why you should
I'm still amazed by how you're hearing me at all
And all these memories I never thought I'd say
I need to give them away

The things that I have never told a single other living soul
Words that I could never say to anyone but you
When you share your space with me, the silence I can barely breathe
Nothing shakes my walls like you
Nothing shakes my walls like you
